Incheon Headquarters Customs and Trade-related Intellectual Property Protection Association (TIPA) signed an agreement

(Break News, reporter Sang-do Park, Incheon) On the 28th, the Incheon Headquarters Customs signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Trade-related IPR Protection Association (TIPA) to protect intellectual property rights (hereinafter referred to as intellectual property rights).

In accordance with the agreement, the two organizations agreed to regularly hold working-level meetings to exchange information on products suspected of infringing intellectual property rights and to strengthen cooperation not only at the time of customs clearance of imported and exported goods, but also in the field of enforcement after customs clearance.

Customs head Kim Yoon-sik expressed his expectation, saying, “It will be helpful for customs clearance such as rapid appraisal of personal intellectual property infringement products, which are on the rise due to the recent rapid increase in direct purchase items,” and “Incheon Headquarters Customs is unfair by protecting intellectual property rights. We will prevent trade activities in advance and actively protect consumer rights and interests.”
