(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 2027년 3월까지 장기간 방치된 빈집의 상수도요금 체납을 정리하고 수도설비 관리 강화를 위한 ‘빈집 체납수용가 특별정리 기간’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 이번 사업은 빈집 소유자와 관리인의 책임 있는 수도설비 관리를 유도하고 노후 배관 누수로 인한 과다 요금 발생을 예방하기 위한 것으로 정리 대상은 상수도요금이 3회분(6개월) 이상 체납된 빈집 1,803곳이다.

이에 따라 부천시는 빈집 체납수용가 특별정리 기간 운영을 위해 전담조직(TF)을 구성하고, 실소유자에게 체납 사실과 납부 방법을 안내할 예정이다. 

이를 통해 자진 납부를 유도하고 장기간 방치된 수도시설의 관리 필요성도 함께 알릴 계획이다.

체납이 지속될 경우는 급수정지처분 절차를 진행한다.

아울러 빈집 소유자와 관리인이 수도시설을 적정하게 관리할 수 있도록 안내해 누수로 인한 요금 부담을 줄이는 데도 힘쓸 방침이다.

체납된 상수도요금은 인터넷지로, 위택스, 부천시 상하수도요금납부 누리집 등을 통해 조회하고 납부할 수 있다. 

실제 거주하지 않는 빈집은 ‘급수중지(휴전)’를 신청하면 요금 부과를 중지할 수 있다.

또, 상하수도요금납부 누리집 또는 콜센터를 통해 전자우편이나 카카오 알림톡 고지를 신청하면 수도요금을 보다 편리하게 확인할 수 있다.
