(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시가 오는 7월 14일부터 9월 6일까지 지난 2025년도에 작동 신생옹주묘역에서 발견된 태항아리를 시민들에게 처음 공개하는 특별전 ‘태(胎), 왕실의 영원을 기리다’를 부천시립박물관 기획전시실에서 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

부천시에 따르면, 특별전 개막행사는 전시 개막에 앞서 7월 13일 오후 3시 부천시립박물관에서 열린다.

이번 전시는 문화체육관광부와 한국박물관협회가 추진하는 ‘2026년 K-뮤지엄 지역 순회전시 및 투어 지원사업’에 선정돼 계명대학교 행소박물관과 공동으로 마련한 순회전이다. 

부천 전시 종료 후에는 9월 21일부터 11월 7일까지 계명대학교 행소박물관에서 이어질 예정이다.

신생옹주묘역은 부천시 오정구 작동에 위치하고 있으며, 지난해 2월에 신생옹주묘역 발굴조사 과정에서 이번 전시의 핵심 유물인 태항아리가 발견됐다. 

발견된 태항아리는 조선왕실의 장례문화와 왕실 여성의 삶을 살펴볼 수 있는 중요한 문화유산으로 평가받고 있다.

태항아리는 왕실에서 왕자나 공주가 태어났을 때 태반과 탯줄을 보관하기 위해 사용한 유물로, 조선 왕실의 생명관과 태실 문화를 보여주는 중요한 자료다. 

발견 이후 매장유산 신고와 관계기관 조사, 국가귀속 절차를 거쳐 현재는 부천시립박물관이 국가귀속 유물 보관·관리 위임기관으로서 관리하고 있다.

이번 전시에서는 신생옹주 태항아리를 비롯한 관련 유물과 자료도 함께 선보인다. 

태실이 조성된 배경과 왕실의 생명관, 출생부터 죽음까지 이어지는 조선 왕실의 문화를 살펴볼 수 있도록 구성했다.

또한, 이번 특별전은 대구·경북 지역의 왕실 태실 유산과 부천에서 출토된 태항아리를 함께 조명하는 순회전으로 구성됐으며, 지역 간 문화유산을 연계해 조선 왕실의 탄생 문화와 태실의 역사적 의미를 보다 폭넓게 이해할 수 있도록 기획했다.

부천시는 전시와 연계한 관광 프로그램을 기관별 4회씩 운영해 관람객들의 전시 이해를 높이고 문화 체험 기회를 확대할 계획이다.

This exhibition is a touring exhibition jointly organized with the Haengso Museum at Keimyung University, having been selected for the ‘2026 K-Museum Regional Touring Exhibition and Tour Support Project’ promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Museum Association.
