(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가  오는 7월 25일부터 26일까지 이틀간 계양아라온 황어광장 일원에서 ‘제4회 계양아라온 워터축제’를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

계양구에 따르면, 올해로 4회째를 맞는 ‘계양아라온 워터축제’는 물놀이와 수상레저 체험, 공연, 다양한 체험 프로그램을 한자리에서 즐길 수 있는 여름 축제로 마련된다.

수변에 설치되는 대형 수영장과 역동적인 워터슬라이드는 물론, 귤현나루에서는 동력 수상레저 기구인 체험선과 도넛보트 체험도 운영돼 색다른 즐거움을 선사한다.

물놀이 외 볼거리와 즐길거리도 풍성하다.

청소년과 지역 예술인이 참여하는 버스킹 공연, 페이스 페인팅, 물풍선 과녁 맞추기 등 다채로운 문화 행사가 곳곳에서 펼쳐져 축제의 즐거움을 한층 더한다.

물놀이존과 수상체험은 모두 무료로 운영된다.

사전 접수는 7월 10일 오전 10시부터 7월 16일 오후 6시까지 ‘네이버 예약’을 통해 선착순으로 진행되며, 잔여분은 현장에서도 접수할 예정이다. 

한편, 행사 기간 많은 방문객이 찾을 것으로 예상되는 만큼 가급적 대중교통을 이용하거나 계양역에서 행사장까지 운영하는 셔틀버스를 이용하면 된다.

Gyeyang-gu announced that it will host the '4th Gyeyang Araon Water Festival' for two days from July 25 to 26 at the Gyeyang Araon Hwangeo Plaza area.

According to Gyeyang-gu, the 'Gyeyang Araon Water Festival,' marking its fourth year, is organized as a summer festival where visitors can enjoy water play, water leisure activities, performances, and various experiential programs all in one place.

In addition to large swimming pools and dynamic water slides installed along the waterfront, motorized water leisure activities such as experience boats and donut boats are available at Gyulhyeon Naru, offering a unique kind of fun.

Beyond water activities, there is an abundance of sights and entertainment. Various cultural events, including busking performances by youth and local artists, face painting, and water balloon target practice, take place throughout the venue, further enhancing the enjoyment of the festival.

The water play zone and water activities are all free of charge. Advance registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis via "Naver Reservation" from 10:00 AM on July 10 to 6:00 PM on July 16, with any remaining spots available for on-site registration.

Meanwhile, as a large number of visitors are expected during the event, it is recommended to use public transportation whenever possible or take the shuttle bus operating from Gyeyang Station to the venue.
