(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시 검단구의회가 지난 7월 2일 제1회 임시회 제2차 본회의를 열고 3개 상임위원회 위원장과 위원을 선출하며 제1대 전반기 원구성을 모두 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

검단구의회에 따르면, 의회는 지난 1일 의장과 부의장을 선출한 데 이어 이날 상임위원회 구성을 완료함으로써 의장단과 상임위원회를 중심으로 하는 의회 운영체계를 갖추고 본격적인 의정활동에 돌입하게 됐다.

이날 본회의에서는 의회운영위원회, 자치경제위원회, 복지안전도시위원회 위원을 선임한 뒤 각 상임위원장 선거를 실시했다.

선거 결과 의회운영위원장에는 박병빈 의원, 자치경제위원장에는 이현주 의원, 복지안전도시위원장에는 홍순서 의원이 각각 선출됐다.

이어 각 상임위원회는 제1차 회의를 열어 부위원장을 선임하고 위원회 운영 방향을 논의했다. 

앞으로 각 상임위원회는 소관 분야의 조례안과 예산안 심사, 행정사무감사 및 조사 등을 통해 전문적이고 효율적인 의정활동을 수행하게 된다.

박병빈 의회운영위원장은 "동료 의원들과 소통과 협력을 바탕으로 원활한 의회 운영과 구민에게 신뢰받는 의회를 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

이현주 자치경제위원장은 "구의 재정과 지역경제를 책임지는 상임위원회로서 구민의 기대에 부응하는 책임 있는 의정활동을 펼쳐 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

홍순서 복지안전도시위원장은 "구민의 복지와 안전, 도시 발전을 책임지는 상임위원회인 만큼 책임감을 갖고 행복하고 안전한 검단구를 만들어가겠다"고 밝혔다.

김남원 의장은 "제1대 검단구의회 원구성이 모두 마무리된 만큼 이제부터는 구민의 기대에 부응하는 책임 있는 의정활동으로 보답하겠다"며 "의원 모두가 소통과 협력을 바탕으로 검단의 새로운 미래를 만들어가는 의회가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

한편, 검단구의회는 3일 개원식을 개최하고 제1대 검단구의회의 공식 출범을 대내외에 알리며 새로운 지방자치의 시작을 선포할 예정이다.
