(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 검단구가 지난 2일 오후 3시께 검단복지회관에서 김진규 초대 검단구청장 취임식을 개최하고, 구민과 함께하는 새로운 검단구의 힘찬 출발을 알렸다고 밝혔다.

검단구에 따르면, 이날 취임식에는 김남원 검단구의회 의장, 모경종·김교흥 국회의원, 구의원, 전원기 인수위원장과 인수위원, 유관기관장, 사회단체장, 지역주민 및 공무원 등 각계각층의 내빈이 참석해 검단구의 출범과 초대 구청장의 취임을 축하했다.

김진규 구청장은 취임사를 통해 "구민이 주인인 소통 행정을 실현하고 교육·경제·안전·복지가 조화를 이루는 도시를 만들겠다"며 "구민과 함께 누구나 살고 싶은 검단구의 희망찬 미래를 열어가겠다"고 밝혔다.

이어 "검단구의 미래는 어느 한 사람의 힘으로 만들어질 수 없다"며 "구민 여러분의 참여와 지혜가 모일 때 더 큰 발전을 이룰 수 있는 만큼, 늘 낮은 자세로 구민의 목소리를 듣고 함께 검단구의 미래를 열어가겠다"고 강조했다.

검단구는 앞으로 출범 초기 행정체계를 조속히 안정시키는 한편, 검단신도시와 원도심의 균형발전을 기반으로 교통망 확충, 생활 인프라 개선, 교육·문화시설 확충, 지역경제 활성화, 스마트 행정 구현, 촘촘한 복지서비스 제공 등 구민이 체감할 수 있는 정책을 중점 추진할 계획이다.
