(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 검단구가 2일 오전 8시 검단구청 정문 현판 앞에서 검단구의 새로운 출범을 알리는 현판 제막식과 출범 기념 테이프 커팅식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

검단구에 따르면, 행사는 7월 1일 검단구 출범에 따라 새로운 행정의 시작을 대내외에 알리고, 구민과 함께하는 희망찬 미래를 다짐하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 행사에는 김남원 검단구의회 의장을 비롯해 모경종 국회의원, 시·구의원, 전원기 검단구 인수위원장을 비롯한 인수위 위원, 지역 주요 인사 및 공무원 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

참석자들은 먼저 구청 정문 현판 앞에서 현판 제막식을 갖고 새로운 이름으로 힘찬 첫걸음을 내딛는 의미를 함께 나눴다.

이어 본관 앞에서 출범 기념 테이프 커팅식을 진행하며 검단구의 새로운 출발을 축하하고, 구민 중심의 행정과 지역 발전을 위한 의지를 다졌다.

검단구는 이번 출범을 계기로 더욱 신속하고 효율적인 행정서비스를 제공하고, 구민과 소통하는 열린 행정을 실현해 나갈 계획이다.

김진규 검단구청장은 "오늘 제막식과 커팅식은 검단구의 새로운 역사가 시작되는 뜻깊은 자리"라며 “분구를 위해 애써주신 주요 인사분들과 구민분들게 깊은 감사를 드리며, 특히 안정적인 개청을 위해 밤낮없는 노력을 이어가고 있는 공무원분들께 특히 감사의 인사를 전한다”고 말했다.

앞으로 검단구는 출범 초기 행정체계를 안정적으로 정착시키는 한편, 구민이 체감할 수 있는 다양한 정책을 적극 추진하며 수도권 서북부의 중심 도시로 성장해 나갈 계획이다.
