(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 27일 ‘2026년 글로벌스타트업학교 제4기 입교식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 지난 2023년 출범한 글로벌스타트업학교는 인천형 학생 창업교육 플랫폼이다. 

이번 4기는 디지털·인공지능(AI) 시대에 발맞춰, 기술과 창의적 아이디어를 융합한 ‘AI 기술 활용 혁신 비즈니스 모델 창출’에 중점을 뒀다.

이날 입교식에는 도성훈 교육감을 비롯해 초·중·고등학교 교육생 60명과 학부모, 선배 멘토 등 총 130여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다. 

행사는 스타트업 입교 패스포트 수여식을 시작으로, 제1~3기 선배 멘토단의 성장 스토리 공유, 교육과정 안내 순으로 진행됐다.

제4기 교육생들은 앞으로 학교급별 특성과 성장 단계에 맞춰 초등학생 ‘와글와글 스타트업’, 중학생 ‘빌드업 스타트업’, 고등학생 ‘도전 스타트업’ 과정에 참여해 맞춤형 창업교육을 받게 된다.

이를 통해 일상 속 문제 발견을 시작으로 AI를 활용한 아이디어 구체화, 비즈니스 모델 설계, 시제품 제작, 투자 유치를 위한 피칭(발표)까지 창업의 전 과정을 주도하며 미래형 스타트업 인재로 성장해 나갈 예정이다.

도성훈 교육감은 “AI와 디지털 기술이 산업의 패러다임을 바꾸고 있는 지금, 기술의 흐름을 읽고 새로운 가치를 창출하는 창업 역량은 미래 세대가 갖춰야 할 필수 경쟁력”이라며 “글로벌스타트업학교에서 인천의 학생들이 세상을 변화시킬 아이디어를 마음껏 펼치고, 세계를 무대로 활약하는 유니콘 기업가로 성장할 수 있도록 아낌없이 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

또한, 인천시교육청이 지난 26일 관내 결대로자람학교 110개교 학부모들이 참여한 가운데 ‘2026 결대로자람학부모네트워크 총회’를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, ‘결대로자람학부모네트워크’는 결대로자람학교 학부모들이 자발적으로 구성한 교육 공동체다. 

이날 학부모들은 지난 활동 성과를 공유하고 인문학적 소양과 인공지능(AI)역량을 균형 있게 키워나가는 미래 인천교육의 발전 방향에 대해 심도 있는 의견을 나눴다.

도성훈 교육감은 “결대로자람학부모네트워크는 인천교육의 든든한 동반자”라며 “‘읽걷쓰AI 학생성공시대’ 실현을 위해 학부모님들의 적극적인 참여와 지지를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.

이어 “디지털 기기 대신 책을 읽고, 걷고, 쓰는 ‘읽걷쓰’의 교육적 가치가 크다”고 강조하며 “우리 아이들이 가정에서도 이를 실천하며 성장할 수 있도록 학부모님들께서 이끌어 주시길 바란다”고 전했다.

The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it held the ‘2026 Global Startup School 4th Cohort Entrance Ceremony’ on the 27th.

According to the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, the Global Startup School, launched in 2023, is an Incheon-style student startup education platform.

In line with the digital and artificial intelligence (AI) era, this 4th cohort focused on ‘creating innovative business models utilizing AI technology’ by integrating technology with creative ideas. The entrance ceremony was graced by the presence of approximately 130 attendees, including Superintendent Do Seong-hoon, 60 elementary, middle, and high school students, parents, and senior mentors.

The event began with the awarding of Startup Passports, followed by the sharing of growth stories by the senior mentors from the 1st through 3rd cohorts, and an introduction to the curriculum.

The 4th cohort of students will receive customized entrepreneurship education by participating in the "Waggle Waggle Startup" program for elementary students, the "Build-up Startup" for middle school students, and the "Challenge Startup" for high school students, tailored to the specific characteristics and growth stages of each school level.

Through this, they are set to grow into future-oriented startup talents by leading the entire startup process—from identifying everyday problems to concretizing ideas using AI, designing business models, creating prototypes, and pitching to attract investment. 

Superintendent Do Seong-hun stated, “Now that AI and digital technology are shifting the industrial paradigm, entrepreneurial capabilities to read technological trends and create new value are essential competitive advantages that future generations must possess.” He added, “We will provide unsparing support at the Global Startup School so that students in Incheon can freely unleash ideas that will change the world and grow into unicorn entrepreneurs active on the global stage.”

In addition, the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it held the ‘2026 Gyeoldae-ro Jaram Parent Network General Assembly’ on the 26th, with the participation of parents from 110 Gyeoldae-ro Jaram Schools within its jurisdiction.
