(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시의회 산업경제위원회가 지난 24일 ‘제308회 임시회’ 제1차 회의를 열어 중동 지역 분쟁으로 촉발된 고유가 상황에 대응하고 민생 및 지역경제의 충격을 완화하기 위한 추가경정예산안(이하 민생추경안)을 의결했다고 밝혔다.

인천시의회에 따르면, 이번에 의결된 민생추경안은 중동 분쟁에 따른 유가 급등으로 민생과 기업·산업 전반에 미치는 영향을 최소화하는 데 중점을 두고 편성됐다.

구체적으로는 지역사랑상품권(e음) 캐시백 지원 등 3개 사업에 총 1천358억 원을 증액해 시민 체감형 지원을 강화했다.

또한, 기존 월별로 분할 지급하던 농어업인 수당을 일시 지급으로 전환해 고유가로 인한 농어업인의 경영 부담을 조기에 완화할 계획이다.

김유곤 위원장은 “고유가로 민생과 지역경제가 큰 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황에서 일부 의원들의 불출석으로 추경안 심사가 무산될 뻔한 점은 매우 유감스럽다”며 “시의원은 시민의 선택을 받은 공직자로서 상임위원회 회의에 책임감을 갖고 임해야 한다”고 강조했다.

이어 “이번 민생추경안이 시민들의 생활 안정과 지역경제 회복에 조금이나마 도움이 되길 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 민생경제가 안정될 때까지 필요한 정책과 지원을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다”고 덧붙였다.
