부천시에 따르면, 이번 만남은 지난해에 이어 두 번째로 진행됐으며, 학교폭력 예방을 위한 현장 의견을 듣기 위해 추진됐다.

학부모 폴리스는 총 45개 학교에서 1,226명의 학부모가 참여해 학교폭력 예방 캠페인, 등·하굣길 안전지도, 순찰 활동 등 안전한 학교 조성을 위한 다양한 활동을 펼치고 있다.

이날 참여자들은 산소정원, 부천유네스코 문학창의도시 홍보관, 의정사료관 등 시청 내 주요 공간을 둘러보며 시정 운영 현장을 체험했다.

이어진 시장과의 대화에서는 학부모 폴리스 활동 과정에서 경험한 학교 주변의 위험 요소와 사례를 공유하며, 학생 안전과 관련한 제도개선, 운영지원 등 다양한 의견을 제시했다.
