(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 농림축산식품부와 한국농수산식품유통공사(이하 aT)가 지난 9일, 사단법인 소비자시민모임과 함께 대전광역시 호텔인터시티에서 ‘2025년 지역먹거리 지수’ 결과를 발표하고, 우수 지방정부 29개를 시상했다.

aT에 따르면,  ‘지역먹거리 지수’는 지역먹거리 계획과 관련된 지방정부의 실천 노력과 확산 정도를 평가하는 지수로, 지난 2019년에 처음 개발돼 시범사업을 거쳐 6년째 추진되고 있다. 

올해는 159개 시·군을 대상으로 한 농촌·도농복합형 평가와 69개 자치구 대상 도시형 시범평가를 함께 진행해 총 29개의 지역먹거리 우수 지방정부가 선정됐다.

이날 시상식에서 최고등급인 S등급은  전북 완주군,  전남 해남군,  전남 장성군,  전남 나주시,  충남 청양군,  충남 예산군 이 농림축산식품부 장관상 대상을 차지했다. 

A등급을 받은 지방정부 중 상위 3개소인  충북 옥천군,  세종특별자치시,  충남 아산시는 장관상 최우수상을 수상했다. 

또, 기초 지방정부 성과가 우수한  충청남도,  대전광역시는 장관상 특별상을 받았다.

이어 A등급 지방정부 17개소(전북 군산시, 경기 화성시, 충남 공주시, 충남 홍성군, 경북 의성군, 경남 합천군, 전북 전주시, 전북 익산시, 경남 김해시, 전남 순천시, 제주특별자치도, 강원 춘천시, 경기 안성시, 충북 괴산군, 경남 거제시, 전북 진안군, 충북 청주시)는 우수상을 받았고, 장려상은 도시형 지수 시범 평가에서 선도 지방정부로 선정된 대전광역시 유성구가 수상했다.

aT 기운도 유통이사는 “지역먹거리 지수 평가 참여율이 97%에 육박하는 만큼, 지방정부의 먹거리계획에 대한 관심도가 매우 높고 평가 등급 평균 또한 지속 상승하고 있어 매우 뜻깊다”며, “이번 시상식을 통해 지방정부가 스스로 지역먹거리 정책 추진 정도를 진단하고 타 지방정부의 정책 사례를 벤치마킹하는 좋은 기회가 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.

한편, aT는 이번 평가 결과를 바탕으로 S등급의 정책 사례를 공유하고 지역먹거리 지수 지도를 배포해 지역먹거리 지수에 대한 국민적 관심을 확대해나갈 계획이다.

또한, 한국농수산식품유통공사(이하 aT)가 지난 9일 서울 양재동 aT센터에서 비축농산물 위생․안전 관리 방안 의견을 수렴하고자 ‘농식품 위생·안전 커미티(COMMITTEE) 자문회의’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

aT에 따르면, ‘농식품 위생·안전 커미티(COMMITTEE)’는 식품 안전과 관련된 정부 부처, 학계, 관련 협회 등 다양한 분야의 전문가로 구성됐으며, 비축농산물 품질과 안전 관련 현안 사항 점검과 해결 방안을 모색하기 위해 지난 2012년부터 운영 중이다.

이번 자문회의는 공사 비축농산물 보관 기간 동안 발생할 수 있는 곰팡이독소 등 기존 안전성 분석검사 항목을 논의가 활발히 진행됐다.
