(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 법무부(장관 정성호)가 8일 세계 인권의 날(12. 10.)을 기념하여 2025년 한 해 법무행정 일선에서 인권 보호를 위해 남다른 노력을 한 검사 3명, 검찰수사관 3명, 교정공무원 4명, 출입국관리공무원 2명, 보호직공무원 2명 등 총 14명을 ‘2025년도 우수 인권공무원’으로 선정·표창했다고 밝혔다.

법무부에 따르면,  법무행정 일선에서 인권 친화적인 법 집행과 제도 개선에 최선을 다한 법무부 소속 공무원들을 격려하고, 따뜻한 법무행정 문화 확산을 위해 2012년부터 우수 인권공무원을 선정·표창하고 있다.

올해 선정된 수상자들의 대표적인 인권보호 사례로, 유지혜 검사는 피의자의 자백과 시약검사 결과만으로 구속 송치된 향정신성의약품 불법 투약 사건에서, 약물을 정상적으로 처방받아 복용하였다는 피의자의 주장을 경청하여 요양급여 및 처방 내역 등을 추가 확보하여 조사한 결과, 의사의 처방에 따라 정상적으로 약물을 복용한 사실이 확인되어 범죄혐의 없어 구속을 취소하고 불기소 처분함으로써 억울하게 범죄자가 될 뻔한 피의자의 인권 보호에 기여했다.
