(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천대학교 인권센터가 오는 17일과 8월 20일 두 차례에 걸쳐 ‘2024년 INU인권센터 인권영화상영회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

인천대 인권센터에 따르면, 인권영화상영회는‘부서로 찾아가는 인권교육’과 더불어 구성원들이 편하고 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 맞춤형 인권침해 예방 프로그램으로, 인천대학교 구성원이라면 누구나 관람할 수 있으며, 직장 내 교육인 인권 교육 시간으로 인정된다.

인천대학교 인권센터장 박용호 교수는 “현실 속에서 발생할 만한 인권 문제에 대해 영화를 통해 자연스럽게 접근함으로써 인권 감수성을 제고하고, 인권을 바라보는 영화 속의 다양한 관점과 방식에 대해 고민을 함으로 인권에 대한 이해와 인권친화적 캠퍼스 문화 확산에 기여할 수 있을 것”이라며, “무더위를 피해 무비캉스를 즐기면서, 인권 문제를 쉽게 접하게 되어 인권에 대한 관심도를 더욱 높일 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다. 

한편, 인천대학교는 2024년도 1학기 학점과 연계한 정규 교과과정으로 인권 교육을 실시하여 23개 학과 727명이 수강한 바 있으며, 체계적이고 장기적인 종합 인권 교육의 제도적 기반 마련을 위해 노력하고 있다.
