(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 지난 4일 인천 옹진군 신도 인근에서 좌주 선박이 발생해 해경이 긴급 구조에 나서 승객 5명 전원을 구조했다고 밝혔다.

인천해경에 따르면 지난 4일 오후 8시 21분께 한국해양교통안전공단 인천운항관리센터에서 삼목선착장과 장봉도를 오고가는 여객선(600t급)이 신도항 인근에서 좌주됐다는 신고가 접수됐다.

인천해경은 즉시 파출소 연안구조정을 급파해 승객 5명을 탑승시켰으나, 당시 저수심과 강풍으로 연안구조정도 좌주돼 중부지방해양경찰청 특공대 단정에 승객 5명을 이동시킨 후 5일 오전 1시 26분께 삼목선착장으로 입항해 무사히 소방에 인계했다.

승객 5명중 2명이 저체온증과 멀미를 호소했으나 이들 모두 생명에는 지장이 없는 것으로 파악됐다.

한편, 인천해경 파출소 연안구조정은 승객을 구조하다 기상악화 및 저수심으로 좌주된 뒤 침수됐으며, 향후 예인 작업을 실시할 예정이다.
